The Business Analyst will analyze inventory, create dashboards, generate reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support e-commerce sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Forecasting
- Assist in forecasting demand and creating stock allocation plans to support sales and promotional activities.
- Analyze inventory levels, product performance, and sell-through to recommend timely actions.
- Identify gaps in stock, forecasting, and assortment planning; develop strategies to bridge those gaps.
- Support product lifecycle activities, including phase-in/phase-out tracking.
Business Analysis & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI to track performance, trends, and KPIs.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly business reports to support decision-making.
- Support pricing, promotion, and sales analysis across categories.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop data-driven insights and business recommendations.
Systems & Tools
- Work with SAP Frontend for inventory management, order tracking, and product updates.
- Use Google Analytics to analyze website traffic, customer behavior, and conversion metrics.
- Utilize Excel for advanced data manipulation, forecasting models, and ad-hoc analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Supply Chain, E-Commerce, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on stock and performance.
- Communicate insights proactively and present findings with clarity.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, business analysis, demand planning, sales support or a related analytical role (internship experience considered).
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation and data modeling.
- Advanced Excel skills (LOOKUPs, pivot tables, forecasting formulas, data cleaning).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Frontend modules.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and digital performance metrics.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to be proactive, identify gaps, and drive effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Some travel required
- Ability to work under pressure
- Open to work in a startup environment
Preferred:
- Experience in e-commerce or retail environment.
- Understanding of S&OP principles and practices, ability to work cross functionally to achieve business goals
