Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful business analyst to join our team, driving AI initiatives across all Bain Capital businesses. This role will report to Jordi Diaz, Head of Data Science and AI. The business analyst will play an important role within an interdisciplinary team that is working across multiple business units to create value with AI, by creating new tools and streamlining business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in ideation workshops for AI initiatives by preparing materials, taking comprehensive notes, summarizing key takeaways, and documenting action items and subsequent action plans.
  • Document various aspects of AI initiatives, including business use cases, stakeholder roles, value at stake, sources of value, methodology, data sources, solution design, and feature roadmap. Manage a centralized documentation platform to ensure information is clear, structured, consistent, and accessible to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Product Managers leading AI products by interviewing users, processing feedback, solving problems, prioritizing features, crafting roadmaps, and managing relationships with beta-testers and power users.
  • Facilitate relationships with diverse stakeholders involved in AI initiatives and resolve issues that require cross-team collaboration.
  • Develop communications regarding AI initiatives in various formats, such as memos, PowerPoint presentations, and blog posts.
  • Research existing and emerging AI tools in the marketplace and evaluate their potential applicability to Bain Capital.

Skills:

  • Strong interest in AI and its applications at Bain Capital and its portfolio companies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional ability to structure and organize large amounts of information in an easily accessible format.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Resourceful and entrepreneurial mindset to achieve goals in ambiguous situations.
  • Outstanding note-taking skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Notion (or similar tools) is highly desired but not required.
  • Very strong PowerPoint skills and ability to prepare clear and well-structured presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, finance, business administration or related field. (technical degree preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience as business analyst at a major management consulting firm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
