Job DescriptionThe Brand Strategy Manager will play a key role in supporting the Bose brand’s continued evolution and growth, helping us deliver on our commitment to being the brand for music lovers everywhere. Because life deserves music, and music deserves Bose.
This role is within the Premium Audio Marketing Strategy team at Bose, which sets the course for global brand priorities, objectives and initiatives. We’re looking for a talented, rising brand strategy leader who is just as passionate about building culturally relevant brands as they are about the transformative power of sound and music. This individual will combine analytical rigor with creative problem-solving and storytelling to strengthen our brand positioning and identity, communications, consumer engagement, and market performance across the Bose portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Activation and Creative Strategy
- Write focused briefs (both tactical and conceptual) for variety of communications and initiatives, providing clear direction for creative and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in briefings and work closely with creative, integrated marketing, cross-functional teams to see the strategy through to action.
- Develop compelling consumer-driven positioning (grounded in brand) for product launch campaigns, in collaboration with product marketing and GTM strategy teams.
- Monitor and enforce brand positioning and brand guidelines to ensure the brand is showing up in a consistent manner across communications and consumer touchpoints.
Brand Health and Insight Development
- Monitor brand health metrics, sharing consistent updates on KPIs and growth drivers within the strategy team to inform long- and short-term strategic thinking.
- Become an expert on our consumers and ensure our strategies will resonate with them, understanding their motivations, pain points, and perceptions of Bose.
- Be the day-to-day voice of strategy in consumer research and testing projects, helping to identify clear objectives and opportunities to put learnings into action to achieve brand goals. Make clear recommendations for strategy based on insights.
- Conduct research and uncover actionable insights regarding competitive brands, cultural themes and channel trends – both on an ongoing and project-specific basis.
Strategic Planning
- Assist in the development of seasonal, annual and long-term brand plans – leveraging insights to define opportunities, initiatives, objectives, and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, or an agency strategy role, preferably with experience in consumer electronics or technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Proven ability to craft powerful creative briefs that lead to effective real-world output.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of using first-party quantitative marketing data and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions for a brand.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to organize and present information in a way that creates understanding and alignment among senior team members.
- Proven experience conducting primary and secondary research – and synthesizing learnings into actionable consumer, competitive and cultural insights.
- Proven ability to make creative leaps that elevate data and insight into surprising ideas.
- Familiarity with brand health metrics and how to make sense of them.
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern marketing channels and how brands can use them individually and in an integrated way to drive impact.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and timelines at once.
- Global brand experience preferred but not mandatory.

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $105,400-$144,850.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
