This role is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 3 days onsite our corporate office in Rolle, CH.

You will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe.

Your Mission

As our Bioinformatician, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and scaling of tools and algorithms that support variant calling and clinical interpretation of genomic data, helping us deliver precision diagnostics at scale. Please note: this role does not involve machine learning development.

The vale you bring

  • Contribute to develop, test and document tools and algorithms for the detection and annotation of genomic variants. 
  • Contribute to improve the efficiency, reproducibility, and scalability of our development processes. 
  • Contribute to expand the testing and documentation coverage of existing tools and algorithms.
Requirements
  • Masters in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Human Genetics, or a related field, with relevant experience in data analysis and/or algorithm development. 
  • Proficient in Python, Git, and Bash.  
  • Proficiency in C++ or R is a plus 
  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments, bioinformatics workflows, parallelization, and containerization (e.g., Docker). 
  • Experience with NGS data analysis is a plus 
  • Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews, and reproducible research principles. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Willingness to be coached and learn from more experienced members of the team. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting business priorities.
