The BI & Finance Analytics Analyst will support the Data Analytics team in providing critical insights to Goodwin’s leadership and operational teams, driving actions that contribute to the firm’s bottom line. Under the guidance of team leads, the analyst will partner cross-functionally with the finance organization, including FP&A, Pricing, and Accounting, to create, manage, and enhance robust analytical tools to enable data-driven decision-making across the firm.  The ideal candidate will be adept at both data modeling and data visualization, and willing to develop deeper expertise in one of the two disciplines.

What You Will Do:

  • Transform disparate data sources into scalable, automated data products and visualizations that effectively communicate business insights

  • Evaluate and enhance operational processes and data workflows for scale, simplicity and reliability 

  • Ensure highest standard of data integrity and quality through the development of robust and automated quality control processes 

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar) 

  • Advanced degree or professional/technical certifications are nice to have 

  • 1-3 years of work experience in business intelligence / analytics role, preferably with some exposure to legal or professional services  

  • Ability to analyze, structure, and contextualize vast, unstructured, or incomplete data 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization tools, especially Tableau or Power BI

  • Proficiency in SQL querying and data prep tools, e.g. Tableau Prep, Alteryx, and related querying languages

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP 

  • Strong verbal and written communication / presentation skills 

  • Familiarity with finance and accounting fundamentals

The Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $76,000.00- $100,000.00
