Assurance and Advisory Auditor (Hybrid)

The Advisory and Assurance Internal Auditor will assist in executing various advisory or assurance reviews, including operational, financial, Information Technology, compliance, and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) audits. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of auditing principles and a keen interest in developing their skills in internal auditing.

This Hybrid role requires in-person work at our Newton, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of advisory and audit engagements.

• Perform and document testing in accordance with standards and methodology.

• Help evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with team members and management to develop action plans.

• Assist in preparing policies, procedures, job aids, guides, etc., to improve team or business processes.

• Adhoc

• Assist in performing investigations arising from instances/suspicions of fraud or theft.

• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or related discipline desired or One year of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or equivalent relevant experience as Internships considered in lieu of degree

• CIA, CISA, CPA, or other relevant certification - Preferred

  Basic understanding of auditing standards, risk management, and internal controls.

• General Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Data Analytics and Robotic Process Automation are a plus.

• High level of integrity and professionalism.
