TEAM CONTEXT
You will be part of the UniOps In-Market Technology team, working within the Customer Experience tower, partnering the rapidly scaling eCommerce & Quick Commerce Technology vertical. The team owns the digital platforms, data products, and AI-led solutions that drive online availability, content excellence, demand sensing, and shopper conversion across the digital shelf — powering Unilever's growth across marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart) and Q-Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BBNow, Swiggy).
EXPECTED WORK
The role requires the candidate to act as a Technical Product Manager — owning the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products that power Unilever's eCom & QCom business, from problem discovery to launch, adoption, and scale. You will translate complex commercial and operational problems (online availability gaps, content TAT, forecast accuracy, marketplace visibility, dark-store SLAs) into scalable technology solutions, in partnership with engineering, data, AI, and agency ecosystems.
Key aspects of the role include:
Defining the product vision, roadmap, and KPIs for assigned product areas across eCom & QCom (e.g., online availability insights, content adapt engines, marketplace listing automation, demand sensing, analytics agents).
Collecting business and system requirements from internal and external stakeholders; authoring crisp PRDs, user stories, NFRs, and acceptance criteria.
Driving project schedules from design to release — leading architecture reviews, sprint execution, UAT, GTM, and hypercare with cross-functional pods (engineering, data, AI/ML, design, QA).
Embedding GenAI, ML, and automation into product workflows; defining instrumentation, telemetry, and product KPIs (adoption, OLA uplift, content TAT, forecast accuracy, cost-per-adapt).
Leading and coordinating design/implementation efforts between internal teams, global product owners, and external partners/vendors to deliver optimal solutions.
Managing production launches, release governance, adoption, and change management with frontline business users.
The right candidate will combine a strong technical product management background with hands-on delivery experience on medium-to-large digital products, and a well-rounded understanding of current web, cloud, and AI technologies. You must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, navigate ambiguity, and balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution.
An ability to break large, complex problems into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and deliver them in a timely manner is essential. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are critical to success in this role.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline; MBA/PGDM preferred.
5–8 years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in Technical Product Management or Engineering Program Management in a digital/consumer tech/eCom environment.
Proven experience in medium-to-large digital products end-to-end across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
Strong understanding of eCom and/or QCom mechanics — digital shelf, search & discovery, marketplace algorithms, dark-store fulfilment, and demand forecasting.
Hands-on exposure to modern web/cloud stacks (APIs, microservices, AWS/Azure/GCP) and data fluency (SQL, dashboards, product analytics).
Exposure to GenAI / LLM-based product workflows and AI-augmented operations is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Track record of being detail-oriented, self-motivated, and demonstrating strong follow-through on projects.
