Wealth Product Management Associate

HarbourVest is seeking an Associate to join our new Wealth Product Management team. This position is responsible for supporting the marketing and fundraising efforts of HarbourVest’s growing suite of evergreen products. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a newly formed team in a dynamic and fast-growing part of HarbourVest. Product Management Associates are encouraged to be subject matter experts and develop detailed evergreen product and private wealth knowledge. Responsibilities include writing high quality content to respond to inquiries from clients and prospects, crafting product marketing content and creating educational content.

The Wealth Product Management team will partner closely with Investment Teams, Account Mangers, Client Service and the central HarbourVest Marketing and Communications Team to develop content. With respect to the creation and updating of content, this candidate will also collaborate with specialist teams including investment performance, accounting, tax, legal and compliance. Associates are also expected to develop internal talking points and maintain and update competitor analysis.

The ideal candidate is someone who is:

  • Excellent written, comprehension, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create high quality presentation content
  • Highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Very good understanding of marketing communication practices and sales process
  • Solid knowledge of financial markets, specifically private markets. Knowledge of evergreen products a plus
  • Familiarity with investment concepts and comfort with numbers and analysis
  • Diligent individual with excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization across all global locations.

What you will do:Develop responses and respond to prospect and client inquiries: 40%

  • Written product content: sales enablement requests, fundraising inquiries, client service requests and internal talking points. Using deep product and wealth expertise, this individual will be responsible for both developing new responses to client / prospect questions and RFPs, and bringing to bear existing content, using judgement to craft the best responses.
  • Handle and complete requests by working independently and collaborating with subject matter authorities across the firm.
  • Analyze the details of each request to ensure clarity, and answer the questions being asked by the prospect / client.
  • Ensure that new content is shared across the team and added to Loopio RFP content library.
  • Triage and respond to requests in an accurate and timely manner following workflow and standard processes. Deliver high quality and accurate responses on time.

Product Marketing: 40%

  • Product marketing materials: presentations, factsheets, DDQs, FAQs etc. This individual will be responsible for developing new high quality presentation content that aids sales efforts and evolving this content to incorporate market and sales feedback.
  • Produce topical content, alongside internal teams, to drive brand building and client / prospect engagement. External content to include webinar materials (client updates and prospect content), digital copy and educational content.
  • Work as an adaptable teammate who proactively assists with workload rebalancing and high-priority items and collaborates with colleagues in other regions.
  • Support compliance process and guidelines for all materials, maintaining appropriate documentation.

Evergreen product work: 20%

  • Develop and maintain internal talking points for HarbourVest’s evergreen products.
  • Maintain competitor analysis and positioning for HarbourVest products.
  • Review and sign off on client reporting for HarbourVest’s evergreen products.

Education Preferred

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent

Experience

  • 3-5 Years of product marketing, product specialist, RFP, sales enablement, sales support, or general marketing experience. Investment management, financial services, or private markets experience preferred. Evergreen fund experience a plus.
