The Associate Vice President will establish and oversee the provider experience product operating model, creating a common way of working across product teams embedded within business functions throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead a multi-year product strategy and roadmap aligned with Humana’s Insurance objectives and the needs of members, providers, clinicians, and business stakeholders
  • Own portfolio investment decisions, including what to build, what not to build, when to invest, and when to stop or retire a product.
  • Set measurable customer, provider, clinical, operational, and financial outcomes and hold teams accountable for sustained results.
  • Lead customer and market discovery through research, interviews, journey mapping, data analysis, testing, and feedback; translate insights into clear product priorities and testable hypotheses.
  • Guide products across the full lifecycle—from discovery and launch through scaling, optimization, and retirement—with clear measures for adoption, performance, value creation, and continuous improvement.
  • Use MVPs, pilots, rapid prototyping, and iterative development to validate ideas before scaling investment.
  • Apply AI, automation, analytics, data products, and digital platforms to improve healthcare experiences, outcomes, affordability, and operational performance.
  • Build alignment across provider experience, analytics and technology; clarify decision rights; and accelerate execution in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Establish portfolio governance, decision forums, operating rhythms, and product management standards that emphasize outcomes over activity.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team of product managers and product leaders while providing product leadership across Provider Strategy & Operations.  Establish common product management disciplines, standards, governance, and talent development while strengthening product capabilities across the organization.
  • Champion human-centered design practices across the provider lifecycle, ensuring product teams leverage provider research, journey mapping, behavioral insights, and continuous feedback to identify unmet needs, inform prioritization, and design experiences that improve provider satisfaction, adoption, and business outcomes.
