Title: Associate Manager, Events and Trade Show

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Marketing Associate Manager, Events Discipline leads the end-to-end planning, execution, and measurement of Duck Creek Technologies’ trade shows and sponsored industry conferences. The role also supports related customer, partner, and executive engagements, as well as larger internal events such as the Formation Customer or User Conference and Go-to-Market Kick-Off (GKO), as needed. Operating above the Senior Analyst level and below Manager, this individual applies strong event marketing expertise, judgment, and cross-functional coordination to deliver complex, high-visibility programs. The role supports brand awareness, demand generation, customer and partner engagement, and market presence objectives. While it has no direct people-management responsibility, the position leads event workstreams and manages internal and external stakeholders and resources to deliver successful outcomes.

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of assigned trade shows and sponsored industry conferences.
  • Support related customer, partner, and executive engagements, as well as internal events such as the Formation Customer or User Conference and Go-to-Market Kick-Off (GKO), as needed.
  • Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, staffing, stakeholder inputs, deliverables, and execution requirements.
  • Translate marketing and sales objectives into event strategies that support brand awareness, demand generation, customer engagement, partner engagement, and thought leadership.
  • Manage sponsorship deliverables, exhibitor requirements, booth design and production, signage, shipping, registration, speaker support, and on-site logistics.
  • Oversee attendee experience, event staffing, catering, audiovisual needs, and run-of-show execution.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align event strategy, promotion, campaign integration, and execution.
  • Serve as the primary contact for event organizers, vendors, agencies, venues, sponsors, partners, and associations.
  • Manage event budgets, including planning, expense tracking, purchase requisitions, invoice processing, reconciliation, and adherence to approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations and Sales on registration, lead capture, sales meetings, follow-up processes, and event reporting.
  • Measure event performance, including attendance, engagement, leads, meetings, opportunities, pipeline influence, stakeholder feedback, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain key event documentation, including project plans, creative briefs, production schedules, run-of-show materials, planning trackers, and post-event reports.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities, and adapt plans as needed.
  • Help develop scalable event processes, templates, vendor practices, reporting standards, and planning tools.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 3+ years of relevant Marketing experience in a prominent enterprise software company with progressive track record

PREFERRED:

  • Degree preferred or equivalent years of practical job experience in a similar function or role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, CRM tools like HubSpot

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to drive results through multiple cross functional teams

  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, influencing and negotiating skills

Other Requirements:

  • Travel: 10 to 25%

  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.

For reference, the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:

  • 96,300 – 137,500: Candidates living in the Boston, New York City–Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC metropolitan areas
  • 91,700 – 131,000: Candidates living in Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Minneapolis, or Philadelphia metropolitan areas, or in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Vermont
  • 87,200 – 124,500: Candidates living in Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oregon, or Wisconsin
  • 77,200 – 120,600: For all other U.S. locations

This position is also eligible for annual bonus compensation, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.

Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
