We are seeking a Legal Operations Associate to join the Legal Operations team within the Legal & Compliance COO Team. The role will be located in the Atlanta or Princeton Office and will report into the Global Head of Legal Ops and Business Management. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with company policies. 

  • Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into legal operations and metrics. 

  • Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the legal department. 

  • Technology Utilization:Leverage legal technology tools to streamline workflows and improve productivity. 

  • Project Management:Assist in managing legal projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget. 

  • Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in legal operations and recommend innovative solutions 

  • Communication and Collaboration: work closely with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., vendors, outside counsel) 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree 

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, or a similar role. 

  • Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in legal technology tools and software, specifically experience with CounselLink E-billing platform preferred. Highly proficient in excel. 

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 

 

Skills: 

  • Proficient with all word products with an emphasis on Excel functionality 

  • Experience using CounselLink E-billing platform is preferred 

  • Strong Problem-solving and critical thinking 

  • Strong Organizational and time management skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to work independently but understand when to escalate issues 

For Princeton, NJ and Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$95,000.00 - USD$127,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
