As an Associate Financial Analyst on the Client Finance team, you support the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of financial reporting across our Enterprise and Foundation business units. You help ensure staffing models, gross margin reports, and dashboards are reliable and up to date so Delivery leaders and Portfolio CFOs can make informed decisions.

In this role, you will build strong foundational skills in financial analysis, business partnership, and data integrity while learning how agency economics work in practice. This is an entry-level role designed to develop future strategic finance leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Client‑Centric

  • Support internal stakeholders by translating financial data into clear, concise summaries. Assist in explaining margin fluctuations and documenting drivers so Finance Managers and Portfolio CFOs can efficiently review and act on insights. Approach variances with curiosity, treating them as opportunities to learn how the business operates.

Product‑Led

  • Learn and adopt internal BI tools, reporting dashboards, and tracking playbooks to ensure financial reporting is consistent and standardized across the portfolio. Build proficiency in established processes before recommending improvements.

Data & Measurement‑Driven

  • Extract, validate, and reconcile financial data from ERP and CRM systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting. Maintain clean data inputs that support weekly forecasting and margin reviews. Flag discrepancies promptly and escalate when appropriate.

The Tinuiti Way

  • Partner with Delivery leaders to ensure staffing models reflect approved allocations and align with financial guardrails and SOPs. Participate in recurring margin reviews to build understanding of client economics and operational drivers.

Owner Mindset

  • Take responsibility for the accuracy of assigned reports and trackers. When inconsistencies arise, investigate thoroughly, document findings clearly, and escalate questions as needed. Identify repetitive manual processes and suggest improvements with manager guidance.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain organized client folders, staffing trackers, and reporting files to ensure data is current, traceable, and audit-ready. Deliver recurring reports on time and with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Core Competencies

  • Collaboration & Communication: Communicates financial information clearly to managers and peers. Asks thoughtful questions to deepen understanding of business drivers.

  • Time Management: Anticipates basic data needs and delivers reports on time without prompting. Manages multiple stakeholder requests with attention to detail.

  • Action Oriented: Takes initiative to learn systems and processes. Executes standard troubleshooting steps before escalating issues.

  • Financial Acumen: Develops and masters core tasks and technical requirements to ensure data quality and maintains a solid understanding of financial statements, core accounting principles, and relevant agency policies.

  • Business/Financial Modeling: Builds basic models in Excel or Google Sheets to analyze how changes in staffing, pricing, or costs impact gross margin

  • Data Presentation: Analyzes historical performance to identify anomalies, trends, and correlations, and turns raw data into reports that inform near‑term decisions for Portfolio CFOs.

Ways of Working and Values

  • Greatness attracts Greatness: Raise the craft standard, seek feedback, and embrace technology/AI.

  • Clients grow, we grow: Anchor decisions in business outcomes with innovation, precision, and proof.

  • Culture of ownership: Act with speed, reduce waste, and own results end‑to‑end.

Professional & Technical Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, operations, or other data-heavy roles (e.g., data science bootcamps or finance internships).

  • Foundational understanding of P&L statements, gross margin, and basic accounting concepts (or demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly).

  • Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured datasets.

Adjacent / Nice to Have

  • Experience cleaning and validating large datasets in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) or CRM (Salesforce).

  • Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI).
