Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change

This is an entry level position geared toward assisting & supporting demand response and managed charging programs and services offered to Eversource customers. As an Associate Energy Efficiency Consultant, Active Demand Response, you will deliver and create innovative customer programs to manage demand during peak times, helping to maintain a stable electrical grid. In this role, you will work with our growing Demand Response (DR) team focused on all aspects of standing up and delivering DR and electric vehicle (EV) managed charging programs for residential and commercial, electric & gas customers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. Your focus will be on helping to drive new initiatives forward while expanding existing programs to meet decarbonization goals across Eversource’s tri-state service territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with management & analysis of data within aggregator DERMs platforms necessary to support delivery of existing and future demand response and managed EV charging programs.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders within the energy efficiency organization, in addition to Eversource’s system planning, grid modernization, solar, interconnection, rates, and IT teams.
  • Responds to customer inquiries on demand response and managed charging programs, coordinating with ADR team members where needed to fully address or help direct questions in a timely manner.
  • Provides direction to business partners for successful delivery of customer-facing demand management programs, implementation, and tracking of progress towards goals and metrics.
  • Manages the integration of activities and program workflow between the customer, vendor/contractors, program administrators, and advisory consultants.
  • Develops data and documentation to meet compliance with regulatory filings and oversight of Battery Storage, Electric Vehicles, Energy Efficiency, and Grid Modernization programs.
  • Supports budgeting, invoicing, evaluation, and tracking of expenses and peak demand savings; assists with the development of RFPs for contracted services.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill: 

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts, such as basic operation of electrical grid, electric vehicle charging, battery storage systems, and digital/IT integrations.
  • Solid working understanding of financial principles and proficiency with PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS).
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages & data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Jupyter, etc.) and visualization tools such as Power BI, highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving ability; thinks creatively about how to connect the dots and achieve objectives in cases where there is no playbook.
  • Quickly comprehends the task at hand, lays out steps to reach the end objective, and works with supervisor, ADR team members and others to execute the plan.
  • Takes the customer’s perspective; thinks through complete customer journey and incorporates it into program design.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.

Education:              

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, science, economics, computer science/data Analytics/data Science, related discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:            

  • Zero (0) plus years of relevant experience in engineering, data analysis, technical marketing, project management or demand response/energy efficiency services. 
  • Awareness of demand response concepts, and specifically programs currently offered by Eversource.
  • Experience and/or aptitude in customer service.

$77,270.00-$85,850.00
