Apex Growth is hiring a junior Performance Marketer, Creative to translate performance insights into platform-native, high-converting ad concepts across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond. This role exists to drive structured creative ideation, testing velocity, and storytelling precision at the intersection of growth marketing and creative strategy.

You’ll operate at the core of our creative engine—bridging media performance and narrative craft. This role reports to the SVP of Growth & Creative and plays a pivotal part in scaling creative systems, refreshing ad pipelines, and accelerating learning loops across paid media accounts.

What You Will Own

Creative Briefs & Campaign Concepting

  • Write testable creative briefs aligned to client goals, audiences, and channel best practices

  • Develop hook frameworks, messaging hierarchies, and visual/storytelling direction

  • Translate performance data and product insights into scalable campaign concepts

Post-Launch Creative Analysis

  • Monitor creative performance metrics (CTR, thumbstop rate, CAC, etc.) across platforms

  • Identify top-performing themes, fatigue signals, and cross-client learnings

  • Partner with media and analytics teams to package insights into debrief decks and scorecards

Testing Cadence & Infrastructure

  • Manage creative workflows for briefs, testing rounds, and asset libraries

  • Ensure creative refresh velocity is maintained across pods and client verticals

  • Escalate blockers and enforce hygiene around testing rhythm and deliverable status

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, editors, and content creators to execute on briefed concepts

  • Coordinate with media leads and project managers to ensure timeline alignment

  • Serve as a collaborative hub across Growth, Creative, and Analytics

Process Building & Creative Ops Support

  • Evolve briefing templates, creative scorecards, and async feedback systems

  • Contribute to internal creative libraries and training resources

  • Help build systems that support speed, experimentation, and repeatable success

Who This Role Is Not For.

This likely isn’t a fit if:

  • You prefer creative environments without structure or feedback loops

  • You rely on visual or copy execution to drive strategy instead of upstream insight and framing

  • You struggle to manage async workflows or own timelines

  • You’ve never worked in a performance marketing, media, or data-informed creative setting

Who You’ll Work With

Maggie Valiunas (SVP, Growth & Creative Strategy): Direct manager and strategic partner
Kathy (Creative Strategy Lead): Day-to-day creative collaborator
David Mausolf (Co-Founder): Strategic alignment and business context
Cross-functional Pods: Paid Social, Search, Analytics, Design, and Project Management

Career Path Opportunities
  • Mid-Level Creative Strategist – Lead testing and messaging across core client verticals

  • Creative Strategy Lead – Own strategy, briefs, and performance feedback loops at scale

  • Channel Specialist (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) – Focus on platform-specific creative optimization

What Apex Growth offers:

  • A great flexible remote work environment—equal parts laid-back startup and motivated meritocracy

  • Daily opportunities to grow your technical skills and capabilities & professional development opportunities within the organization

  • A highly accomplished executive team with a plan to scale Apex Growth, that works with you to become a major player in the growth marketing agency space

  • A competitive salary and bonus structure

  • 401(k) with company matching

  • Generous (and by generous we mean unlimited) PTO

  • Paid Vacation, Paid Bereavement, and Paid Family Leave

  • Full Health Benefits (Dental, Vision, Wellness)

  • Learning and career development program

These benefits are applicable to Apex Growth, US based, full-time employees only. 1099/Contract Providers are ineligible for these benefits.

Still wondering why you should consider joining the Apex Growth team? Hear from Apex Growth Co-founders David Mausolf and Dave Riggs talk about what sets us apart.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
