The sales team is responsible for the monetization of Future's properties (digital, video and print). The sales team adheres to a rigorous sales process that includes, but is not limited to: lead sourcing deadline management, research and program delivery, from pitch stage to sold programs.

Future is looking for an Associate Vice President, Mid Market Sales to help support our rapid scale and make an impact on our revenue goals. You have been a sales leader overseeing teams of varying sizes across the United States selling ad products and solutions to companies in the music, entertainment, finance and lifestyle categories.

What you'll do

You will report to the Vice President, West Coast Sales

  • Lead team selling digital media (branded content, premium video, and programmatic solutions), against a list of assigned accounts
  • Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure repeatable, predictable above-quota results based on successful pipeline management
  • Build, measure, and improve a repeatable sales process to achieve targeted sales goals
  • Empower your team with scalable systems and repeatable processes to increase sales skills, product and industry knowledge, and professional habits
  • Assist sales reps in closing complex transactions by teaching best practices in prospecting, managing and closing opportunities
  • Create a team culture that's positive, motivating, and performance-driven
  • Develop specific and targeted goals within each demand team to expand and accelerate revenue opportunities within their unique customer sets
  • Report important growth metrics to assess personal and team performance
  • Find creative ways to improve and increase performance
  • Plan resource allocation, forecast growth, and monitor pipeline
  • Implement best practices to support consultative sales and client success processes
  • Negotiate deals and understand complex client campaigns
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
  • BA/BS degree
  • Media industry experience including experience in sales role(s)
  • Experience in digital, mobile, video and print
  • 10+ years overall experience with 2+ years leading a team across the Mid Market segment within finance, music and entertainment.
  • You have a personal history of repeatedly exceeding your past individual contributor quota so you can train AEs on how to be successful in the role
  • Experience with and understanding of digital media/video monetization products and trends, audience data and solutions-based approach
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of industry trends and revenue drivers
