This is an opportunity to build your career at the center of complex energy and infrastructure projects. As an Assistant Project Manager within our Pre-Construction Services group, you’ll support the planning and development of renewable energy and power generation projects from early-stage feasibility through construction readiness.

Working alongside experienced project managers, developers, owners, engineers, utilities, and contractors, you’ll help coordinate project activities, develop schedules and budgets, track risks and action items, and support the transition from development into construction. Projects may include utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, and other renewable and power generation infrastructure.

This position is based in Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, AZ and will require periodic travel to project sites and client locations.

  • Track project action items, deliverables, decisions, risks, and key milestones.
  • Support site due diligence, permitting, interconnection, constructability, and development activities.
  • Assist with reviewing engineering documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
  • Help develop bid packages, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
  • Participate in project meetings and help maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Assist with identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Support the transition of projects from pre-construction into construction.
  • Prepare project updates, presentations, reports, and other decision-support materials for clients and leadership.
  • Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
Who You Are
  • You have a "Do what needs to be done" mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and moving forward.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in project management, construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure.
  • You have an interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with solar PV, BESS, wind, or other energy projects is preferred but not required.
  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project workstreams.
  • You have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with project schedules, budgets, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable working with clients, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
