Applied Physics, Nanoelectronics and Bioengineering
Cahira Technologies Inc is an MIT spinoff company (https://www.linkedin.com/company/cahiratech/). We have built the the world’s first autonomous and non-surgical brain implant: novel sub-cellular sized wireless electronic devices that seamlessly integrate with the neurons or other biological cells, enabling brain-computer symbiosis beyond conventional brain-computer interfaces.
Already validated in our animal studies, this breakthrough has been honored with several esteemed awards such as the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award with the highest and rarely achieved impact score, the MIND Prize, and featured by BBC, Forbes, CNN, Bloomberg, MIT News etc. It is poised for clinical translation for treating intractable neural diseases as well as for transcending humans beyond biological limitations.
Join us in our exciting journey to define the future of neurotechnology and human augmentation!
About the role
We are looking for engineers and researchers who are extremely passionate about building and shaping the next generation brain-computer symbiosis: the seamless merging of electronic devices with the brain.
It is ok even if you do not have specific background in this field.
We believe that someone who has done well in any specific field, can do well in other fields, if there is interest.
The questions to ask yourself:
Do you have strong background and indepth insights in whichever science/engineering field you are currently in?
Are you passionate about building new technologies?
Are you willing to learn a new field?
Are you excited about transdiciplinary research spanning applied physics, nanoelectronics, neurotechnology and biology?
If answers to these questions are yes, then apply to this exciting opportunity!
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or M.S or PhD in a science or engineering field such as electrical-/electronics- engineering, applied physics, materials science, bio-/biomedical-/mechanical-/chemical-engineering, physics, biology or chemistry
Strong background and proven excellence in your respective field
Willingness and courage to learn a new field and perform transdiciplinary research spanning applied physics, nanoelectronics, neurotechnology and biology (no previous background required)
Passionate curiousity and excitement about building the future of brain-computer symbiosis
