As Analyst Relations Director at Skillsoft, you will lead the strategy and execution of programs that shape analyst perception and ensure Skillsoft is top-of-mind in the industry. This is a highly visible, strategic role that bridges external analyst relationships and internal stakeholders to elevate the company’s reputation, market positioning, and product narratives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Relationship Management – Build, strengthen, and maintain trusted relationships with key industry analysts, acting as their primary point of contact
- Thought Leadership Amplification – Deliver compelling company narratives through briefings, inquiries, and analyst engagements that drive positive, influential coverage
- Analyst Engagement Planning – Plan and execute analyst days, events, webinars, and 1:1 engagement to increase visibility into Skillsoft’s innovation and vision.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work across product, marketing, communications, and executive leadership to align messaging and coordinate analyst interactions.
- Content Development & Messaging – Tailor briefing materials, messaging frameworks, and spokesperson preparation for analyst-facing content.
- Monitoring & Reporting – Track, synthesize, and share relevant analyst research, coverage, and social commentary with internal stakeholders to inform positioning and GTM strategy.
- Rapid Response & Influence – Manage inbound analyst inquiries and RFPs with speed and precision, coordinating internal resources and delivering high-quality responses.
- Insight & Strategy Development – Leverage analyst feedback to provide strategic guidance to product, marketing, and executive teams on trends, perception gaps, and opportunities
- Influence on Market Perception & MQ/Wave Outcomes - Drive efforts to shape Skillsoft’s positioning in key analyst evaluations, ensuring alignment between analyst criteria and company capabilities.
- Competitive Intelligence Gathering - Identify and share competitive insights gathered through analyst discussions and research to inform go-to-market and product strategies
- Executive Advisory Role - Advise executive leadership on analyst engagement strategy and influence plan aligned to company priorities and market movements.”
- Integration with Influencer Relations & PR - Collaborate with PR, social media, and influencer marketing teams to amplify analyst content and insights across owned and earned channels.
- Content Amplification & Reuse - Ensure analyst endorsements and assets are integrated into marketing campaigns, sales materials, and web content to drive influence across the buyer journey.
- Metrics & KPIs for AR Program Success - Track program KPIs such as share of voice, report inclusion, analyst sentiment, and MQ/Wave progress to measure influence and continuously optimize efforts.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in analyst relations, corporate communications, product marketing, or related fields
- Deep knowledge of enterprise software, SaaS, learning and development, or adjacent tech industries
- Experience working with major analyst firms (e.g., Gartner, IDC, Forrester); former analyst experience required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and advise senior executives
- Highly organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking to translate analyst insights into actionable business intelligence
- Proven track record of building relationships and managing high-impact analyst programs
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field
