PTC is seeking an experienced Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Solution Architect to join our Professional Services team. PTC’s Codebeamer is a market leading Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution for distributed development. It helps users streamline product innovation processes, enhance product quality, reduce development costs, and maintain compliance with safety-critical standards. Codebeamer is a complete lifecycle management solution with all-in-one requirements, risk, and test management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting Services delivery: Provide direct Architect level consulting services to customers and partners resulting in the best practice design of ALM solutions that meet the customer’s business objectives
  • Advisory Services delivery: Provide technical advisory services and mentorship for PTC partners, customers, and PTC Professional Services.
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) support: Provide input and support into OCM activities to help customers adopt their Codebeamer ALM solution at scale.
  • Support Implementation Services opportunities: Supporting the assigned Business Solutions Manager (BSM) on pre-sales opportunities to support the ARR growth and long-term customer satisfaction through implementation excellence
  • Best Practice development and Scale: Provide implementation subject matter expertise to Service Offer Management (SOM) to build new ALM services offerings. Generate best practice documentation derived from customer project experience.
  • Cross functional Collaboration: Provide ALM specific subject matter expertise in cross functional initiatives across PTC’s ALM eco-system
  • Customer Escalation Support: Act as an advisor on escalated accounts

Day-To-Day:

  • Support technical workshops based on customers’ and partners’ business needs
  • Assist the ALM Hub as a solution finder, consulting on potential solutions and/or alternatives to key customer and partner challenges
  • Provide technical leadership for customer projects, working with our partners, solution centers & R&D
  • Consider customers’ processes and PTC solution value to design a solution that supports the use of core product in line with best practice guidance
  • Participate in the creation and review of technical documentation, including guides, best practices, and reference materials, to empower customers to make the most of our products in a scalable and efficient way
  • Support the investigation and resolution of technical issues, working closely with the ALM Hub, the customer and our engineering teams to find effective solutions
  • Contribute to the creation of reference architectures and frameworks that enable customers to scale and optimize their use of our software.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep experience in the Application Lifecycle Management space with associated technologies (e.g. DOORS, Codebeamer, Azure DevOps, RV&S, Polarian, etc.)

  • Excellent relationship building capabilities, high-energy & results-oriented with a customer first mentality

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • First class attention to detail, solution-finding

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English

  • Experience in one of relational Database technology (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

  • Previous software consulting experience in the role of solution, technical or application architect

Basic Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science bachelor’s degree / master’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in a similar role

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $106,000 - $140,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location and will also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant.
