Role Overview

Lead the evaluation, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade AI and cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. Primary Objectives

  • Identify and evaluate emerging AI and cloud technologies relevant to business needs.
  • Design and implement proof-of-concepts to validate business and technical feasibility.
  • Define enterprise architecture and production-readiness requirements for selected solutions.
  • Establish scalable, secure, and maintainable Azure-based solution architectures.
  • Accelerate software delivery through AI-assisted development practices.
  • Provide architectural leadership across the solution lifecycle from idea to production.

Scope of Work (Responsibilities)

  • Conduct market research on AI platforms, foundation models, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, developer tools, and enterprise AI products.
  • Analyze vendor offerings, market trends, product maturity, security considerations, and implementation models.
  • Assess solutions against business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, and regulatory obligations.
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
  • Define architecture patterns for AI, cloud-native applications, integrations, APIs, data platforms, and automation.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and operational standards.
  • Develop architecture artifacts, design documents, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Integrate GenAI agents with back-end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Ensure production readiness, including robust error handling, retries, idempotency, observability, logging, and monitoring.
  • Participate in the full SDLC: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements and solution vision.
  • Support project teams via architecture reviews, technical assessments, and implementation planning.
  • Participate in architecture governance forums and design reviews.
  • Mentor engineering teams on modern cloud and AI architecture practices.
  • Contribute to shared engineering standards, best practices, and code reviews.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

Skills and Experience (Required)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years in software engineering and solution architecture.
  • 5+ years designing enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating emerging technologies and conducting technical market assessments.
  • Proven delivery of proof-of-concepts and scaling them to production environments.
  • Experience leading enterprise architecture and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Success working in complex enterprises with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of production engineering: error handling, retries, idempotency, observability, and fault tolerance.
  • Proficiency building APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous problem spaces and make sound engineering trade-offs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; comfortable working across time zones.
