About This Role:

The Advisory Associate Consultant provides a structured and personalized client experience that leverages Forrester analysts’ written research and deep market knowledge. The Advisory Associate Consultant is responsible for understanding the advisory products and processes and utilizing their knowledge to align client business strategy with Forrester analysts and seamlessly meet client needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving engagement from discovery through delivery while ensuring a high-value delivery focused on actionable insights on clients’ business and technology challenges.

Job Description:

  • Achieve a quarterly revenue under management (RUM) goal in partnership with the sales and research organizations.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with research analysts, consulting colleagues, customer success colleagues, and account sales teams.
  • Partner with analysts to develop an in-depth understanding of content for product offerings, and partner with account teams to understand clients’ challenges, while facilitating alignment between the two.
  • Work with clients to clarify their needs and expectations in alignment with the advisory offerings and around a specific coverage area.
  • Develop advisory approaches, agendas, proposals, and scopes that align client needs, analyst expertise, Forrester research, business rules, timelines, pricing, product allocations, and travel-and-expense requirements.
  • Manage advisory engagements against scope, timelines, milestones, and client expectations; proactively identify, escalate, and resolve delivery risks to support timely completion, revenue recognition, and high-quality client experiences.
  • Apply standardized delivery processes, workflows, tools, templates, and naming conventions to improve speed, consistency, quality, and transparency across advisory engagements.
  • Leverage available delivery inputs, including call recordings, transcripts, and Copilot-enabled summaries to capture client needs, document decisions, identify follow-up actions, and strengthen knowledge management.
  • Partner with customer success managers, account teams, analysts, and consulting colleagues to capture client feedback, value or win stories, and internal recognition opportunities following advisory sessions.
  • Identify growth opportunities during delivery, including opportunities with additional buying groups and across the broader advisory and consulting portfolio, and submit qualified lead referrals in partnership with sales and customer success teams.
  • Conduct post-delivery ecosystem debriefs with research, sales, customer success, and consulting stakeholders to share client insights, discuss follow-on opportunities, and provide recommendations for account planning and renewal conversations.

Job Requirements:

  • A strong track record of academic achievement; BA or BS degree at a minimum.
  • Two years of experience in a professional client-facing role is preferred.
  • Project management skills, including attention to detail, task management skills, and the ability to prioritize with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated account and client relationship management experience, including conflict resolution.
  • Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity about business and consumers and the impact that technology has on them.

Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate’s primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials.

Base salary range: $62,000 - $102,000
