Reporting to the US Financial Controller, the Accounting Analyst is a key position in the US Controller’s group to provide financial insights, maintain accuracy, streamline operations and comply with managerial and US GAAP standards. The right person for this role will be a self-starter, adaptable, and forward-thinking. This role supports the US Financial Controller in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, improving accounting processes, and enhancing forecasting models. This role will also involve cross-training with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to provide support and coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations, forecasting and reporting.
- Develop and manage monthly financial forecast and budget models, as well as flux analysis for expenses; present to management.
- Work closely with partners across cost centers to refine forecast for management reporting.
- Develop and prepare accurate monthly analysis reports and flux analysis, and present to management as part of internal close process.
- Calculate and prepare analysis and journal entries for annual US GAAP reporting.
- Maintain and improve accounting and forecasting processes and document key processes and controls.
- Support AP and AR teams and provide coverage where needed.
- Support the US Financial Controller with ad hoc analysis and projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in audit, accounting, FP&A or related field; exposure to both AP and AR functions preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; must be comfortable with pivot tables, writing and editing complex nesting formulas, including SUMIFS, V/H/XLookups; experience in building excel models and/or macros preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting ERPs (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
- Office-based schedule, depending on Company policy.
- May require occasional overtime during year-end close, budget season or other busy periods.
