NextPatient | Account Executive

We're a small team building the best software for medical practices.

The software you experience at the doctor is often terrible. We fix this by integrating with the doctor's legacy system and providing easy online scheduling, bill pay via text, digital check-in, interactive reminders, automated waitlist, and more. Patients get a modern experience and practices save time.

We are trusted by thousands of doctors and healthcare providers around the country and doing more volume than companies backed by $100M from VCs. (We have raised $0).

About the role:

We are a quickly growing company, and in turn, we expect a lot from our sales team - outbound calling and inbound lead management, technical discovery and product demos, domain expertise in our market, executive-level relationship building, and the ability to close. We provide the latest sales tech, playbooks, leadership support, and resources to empower you to get your job done.

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Have a demonstrable track record of success and leadership in a prior role

  • Lean into new technology and approaches to your work

  • Can breakdown a complex situation into a straightforward action plan

  • Have a high degree of integrity and accountability

  • Enjoy getting on the road every quarter and visiting prospects in-person

  • Can make the last day at a tradeshow fun

Perks of working at NextPatient:

  • Freedom to work from home and no fixed vacation policy

  • Year-end company-wide trip where you can get to know everyone in the company, and mid-year team-wide trips (2024 in Miami, 2023 in Park City)

  • Health benefits, 401(k) with company match, and equity

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
