The Account executive assists Broker and teams with handling and placement of both new and renewal insurance policies. When underwriting renewal business, account executive valuates the exposures of a given risk and determines the best market for both premium and coverage.

To be successful, a strong marketplace knowledge is required, which is developed over time and is ever-changing.  The Account executive is critical to Jencap retaining business year after year.

This role will work in our Quincy, MA office.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Compares coverages & policy language for placement of renewal business
  • Underwrites existing renewals to determine carrier acceptability & competitive pricing
  • Review submissions & provide decisions on which markets to access for various types of coverage
  • Rates & prepares insurance quotes
  • Maintains strong product knowledge
  • Contributes to the growth of the organization
  • Hits targeted renewal retention goals
  • Upholds departmental service standards
  • Coordinates daily workflow to meet deadlines
  • Produces a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time
  • Review inspections to determine if coverages & limits are sufficient
  • Responsible for adhering to multiple contracts/ guidelines for our Binding Authority markets
 Qualifications:
  • Five plus years of commercial insurance experience. Wholesale industry experience a plus.
  • Professional negotiation, interpersonal, written, & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize & multi-task with a sense of urgency
  • Cooperate, work, & communicate well with co-workers, supervisors, & outside contacts as part of a team environment
  • Demonstrate proper judgement & decision-making skills
  • Capable of marketing, quoting, & binding of all Personal Lines Risks
  • Strong Organizational & Time Management Skills
