Bracebridge Capital, LLC is a leading alternative asset manager with approximately $12 billion of net assets under management.  The firm pursues investment strategies primarily within the global fixed income markets with the objectives of capital preservation and absolute return without significant correlation to equity, interest rate and foreign exchange markets.  Established in 1994, Bracebridge manages private investment funds that serve endowments, foundations, pension funds and other institutional and high-net-worth investors.

This Winternship will occur the week of January 4th-8th and will provide an excellent educational opportunity for you to participate in a challenging project and develop your knowledge of financial markets. *Housing support will be provided

Winterns will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in an abbreviated version of our analyst training program
  • Attend a series of presentations from Portfolio Managers about their investment areas, their risk analysis and general trends in their areas of focus
  • Attend a series of presentations given by members of our research, back office, legal and technology and software departments, to better understand the many facets of a buy side financial services firm
  • Perform a group research project under direction of a senior member of our investment team, with support of investment analysts and Bracebridge resources

Required Skills and Credentials:

  • Sophomores with top academic credentials
  • Keen interest in finance and a desire to learn about financial markets and hedge funds
  • Strong math, analytical and/or programming skills
  • Curiosity about international capital markets, trading strategies, and risk analysis
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • No previous experience in finance is necessary
