A one-week winter internship for college sophomores interested in finance and financial markets. Winterns participate in analyst training, attend presentations from investment and business-function leaders, and complete a group research project guided by a senior investment professional. The role develops knowledge of fixed-income markets, hedge funds, trading strategies, risk analysis, and buy-side financial services. Strong academics, analytical or programming ability, curiosity, teamwork, and work ethic are required; prior finance experience is not necessary.

Manage daily derivative reconciliations and payments, resolve breaks with counterparties and internal teams, prepare and analyze daily margin calls, assist with shareholder statement review, and perform related operational, recordkeeping, and data processing tasks.

Work with the machine learning team and portfolio managers to translate investment questions into ML problems, develop and evaluate data-driven models (including simulation and optimization), maintain production models and tools, document methods and results, and stay current with ML/AI techniques relevant to finance. Gradually take ownership of features, components, and end-to-end projects.
