The Ticket Operations Representative engages with customers for ticket sales and services, balancing cash drawers, and assisting with digital ticket access. They provide exceptional customer service at Fenway Park for various events.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Boston Red Sox Ticketing team plays an integral role in helping the organization to achieve its financial and customer service goals. Typically the first point of contact a fan has with the Red Sox, the Ticket Office sets the tone for their experience at Fenway Park. From selling tickets for games and events to trouble shooting any issues fans may have, the focus is always on providing top-tier customer service for everyone from long-time season ticket holders to patrons visiting the park for the first time.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Ticket Operations Representatives are on the front-lines when interacting with customers. The representatives will work with walk up customers interact with when they inquire about ticket sales and services. This part-time position is a year-round position that works with customers who are seeking game day tickets as well as tour tickets. Primary duties will include but are not limited to walk-up sales and will call at the box office and remote ticket booths for Red Sox games, Fenway Park tours, and special events.
The hourly rate for this role is $16.25.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide walk-up customers with ticket sales and service for Red Sox home games, Fenway Park tours and other events hosted at Fenway Park.
- Assist patrons with accessing tickets digitally via the MLB Ballpark app.
- Issue tickets to high-end clientele at VIP will-call window on game days.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each day
- Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager or Senior Director, Ticket Services.
CHARACTERISTICS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and telephone.
- Prior telemarketing, customer service and/or sales experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.
