In 2021, Natalie Montalvo worked with a mentor through a program within the LGBTQ+ employee resource group, Pride@Liberty. Over the course of 9 months, Montalvo expanded her professional network, gleaned tips for interviewing, sharpened her communication skills and, most importantly, built confidence to help advance her career. “My mentor, who still meets with me today, has been instrumental in my career advancement,” said Montalvo. Now, she is paying it forward by working as a mentor in the Women in Leadership program at Liberty Mutual.

Gregory Bomkamp can rattle off a laundry list of the cool tech he uses in his role, but he says the most exciting aspect of his team is “the autonomy we’re given to explore innovative solutions. We never feel confined to any specific stack, technology or framework.” His team is only just beginning to “unlock the possibilities” of AI and machine learning, harnessing the immense amount of data to discover patterns and insights. On a typical day, after the morning Agile Scrum meeting, his team taps into pair programming, collaborative design and knowledge sharing to brainstorm solutions.
