Conceived by researchers at #MIT and #Stanford, DBOS (database-oriented operating system) is a new operating system and transactional serverless computing platform, making cloud-native applications easier to build and more secure. DBOS implements operating services on top of a distributed database. The results is a foundation for today’s #cloud-native applications. It replaces 35 year-old #Linux, and eliminates the need for container, DBMS, orchestration, and observability layers to enable cloud-native performance.
