What It's Like to Work at BAE Systems, Inc.

My favorite thing about BAE Systems is that there is an opportunity to grow. Every manager that I have had here has said, ‘Oh, you want to grow? This is what you need to do, or this is what we have available to you.

One of the major projects I’m proud to have seen through is the latest expansion of our Aerospace Manufacturing Center in Westminster, CO. It’s proof that in order to get something large done, you have to work as a team across the business.

The reason I enjoy BAE Systems is because everyone believes in what they do. It’s a place where you join and want to continue to work at because it’s growing and you’re thriving along with it.

I started my career on the manufacturing floor. If it wasn't for my teammates, my peers, my colleagues, other engineers coaching me, mentoring me, having all the support that I have at BAE Systems, I don't know if it would be possible today for me to sit here today as a software engineer.

I'm not the one wearing the fatigues, but I think that I take so much pride in the fact that I'm playing such a small part in something that defends my freedoms, and knowing that I'm playing in that at BAE Systems, it's huge for me.

While traditional production methods will always play a role at BAE Systems, the use of additive manufacturing will continue to expand as the technology evolves. We’re excited to be on the forefront of this evolution and contribute to its growth, as well as to the development of the next generation of skilled workers to enable it.
