American Meteorological Society

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) is a nonprofit scientific and professional membership organization that advances atmospheric and related sciences, technologies, applications, and services for society’s benefit. It convenes scientists, educators, students, and other professionals; publishes peer-reviewed journals and research; and supports education, policy outreach, professional certification, and public understanding of weather, water, and climate. Its programs connect experts across academic, public, and private sectors.
