Crunchtime and QSR Automations, which both specialize in developing tech to streamline restaurant operations, plan to join forces, merging to create a combined company that will serve restaurant brands across more than 100 countries.

The move will bring together Crunchtime’s offerings for reducing food and labor costs with QSR’s automation solutions designed to cut down on waste and ensure orders are accurately fulfilled. The pair aim to provide restaurants with a portfolio of tools designed to improve efficiency across the full kitchen operations lifecycle.

“We’re thrilled to merge with a company whose core focus is helping restaurant brands improve operations,” Robbie Payne, CEO of QSR Automations, said in a statement. “The coupling of Crunchtime’s operations management solutions with QSR’s kitchen workflow automation will help customers reduce wait times and increase guest satisfaction, ultimately delivering a better guest experience.”

Investment firm Battery Ventures has backed both companies and plans to continue providing support for the combined organization.
