With the greater Boston area being home to two of the top three universities in the world, Massachusetts has a robust STEM talent pool and the demand is only likely increase. 

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Communication noted that in 2022, over a fifth of the state’s total workforce was employed by the STEM industry — 6 percentage points higher than the rest of the country. The state estimates that by 2028 STEM will account for 40 percent of employment growth.
