Mavrck raised $120M. The marketing tech firm known for its enterprise software gained $120 million from Summit Partners. Some of Mavrck’s clients include big names such as Netflix and Procter & Gamble Co. The fresh funding will be used to expand Mavrck’s product offerings. [Boston Business Journal]
Lokalise got $50M. The Series B funding round was led by CRV. Lokalise is a fully remote company with a platform that streamlines the localization and translation process as well as collaboration between project managers and developers through the use of APIs. EzCater gained $100M. SoftBank Vision Fund 2 invested $100 million into ezCater, bringing its valuation to $1.6 billion and solidifying unicorn status. Mightier brought in $17M. Mightier is a video game startup that makes games to support kids’ emotional health. Mightier games use heart rate monitors and tips and strategies within the games to teach children how to control their emotions. The Series B funding round will be used to scale the company. New trading app Zingeroo launched. Serial entrepreneur Zoë Barry founded and launched a new stock trading app, but in the form of friendly competition. Barry sought to create a way to make stock trading more fun for individuals and launched with an $8.5 million investment. Zingeroo plans to expand its engineering team in Boston with the new funding. Transmit hired a new CRO. Transmit Security is a security startup providing companies with the tools necessary for authentication and authorization. The company appointed Chris Kaddaras as its new chief revenue officer. Kaddaras will oversee sales, support and success. [Business Wire]
