5 tech events you do NOT want to miss this week

Each week, we dig through our jam-packed events calendar to highlight a handful of the events we're most excited about. Over the next seven days, there will be opportunities to learn how AI and robotics are transforming the workplace, as well as chances to brush elbows with some of Boston's top tech execs. MIT Technology Review Presents: EmTech Next 2018, June 4 at 8 a.m.

Are you curious about the future of work? Then join MIT Technology Review for a day-long event focused on how robotics and AI are transforming the workplace across industries. At the EmTech Next event, technology decision-makers and senior level business execs will discuss how these (and other) technologies are shaping markets from retail to medicine and more. 

 

Weekly Hack Night, June 5 at 7 p.m.

If you love coding but you've never heard of Code for Boston, here's your chance to find out what all the fuss is about. The club's weekly hack session is held at the Cambridge Innovation Center in Kendall Square, and it's a fun way to meet like-minded techies and work on any civic tech projects you've been tackling. 

 

Girl Develop It Boston 5th Anniversary Party, June 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Want a reason to dress up this week? Join Girl Develop It Boston for its 5th anniversary celebration. In case you weren't aware, this chapter has over 4,500 members, making it one of the largest Girl Develop It chapters in the country. This event is a great opportunity to meet other students, volunteers and instructors. Who knows? You might just find your new best friend — or your next business partner. 

 

Boston TechPalooza, June 7 at 4 p.m.

Go to this event, because who doesn't like a good old-fashioned New England clambake? At Boston TechPalooza, industry leaders from some of the largest IT companies in the region will gather at the "state-of-the-art" Marlborough data center to enjoy delicious food and drinks and talk about the most important tech trends of the hour. Did we mention there's a biergarten? 

 

Level's Summer Social, June 7 at 6 p.m.

If you've always been curious about Level Education, a program that offers short and intensive boot camp programs out of Northeastern University, here's your chance to learn more about it in an informal setting. At Level's summer social, you'll have the chance to head over to the program's brand new location at WeWork on One Beacon Street to hang out, drink some beer and network — without pressure.
