Hopjump is a digital marketing company that provides personalized travel recommendations and targeted travel content to U.S. consumers. The company uses proprietary algorithms to provide a high-performance marketing channel to reach both consumers and business travelers.
What was the deciding factor for you when you accepted your job at your current company?
When I was interviewing a year ago, there were a couple of factors that affected my decision to choose Hopjump. The first was the people I met during the interviews and the thoroughness of the process. By the time I got the offer, I knew they were invested in hiring me and felt I would be a good fit, which in turn made me confident I would enjoy working with the people at Hopjump. I’m happy to say this has entirely been the case.
Another deciding factor for me was the opportunity to work on an entirely new topic with new tools at my disposal. Continually learning, growing and challenging myself is important to me and I felt I’d be able to do that at Hopjump. Now that I’m here, it’s clear that there are always new areas to explore and new topic areas to tackle, which means the work is always interesting and doesn’t get old.

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?
I am excited about the way Hopjump is diversifying the areas we work in. Not only does this make us a stable company (which is always nice from an employee perspective!) it also means that there are always fascinating problems to solve and new areas in which we can apply our expertise. It means the work is engaging and it also means I can see the impact of my effort in the success of new projects.
SharkNinja is a designer, marketer and distributor of home devices and appliances.
As a tenured employee, what has been the biggest reason you’ve stayed at your company so long?
Mindset. That’s what attracted me to SharkNinja and that’s what keeps me passionate about staying at SharkNinja every day. Here, it’s not about being “detail-oriented.” It’s about being fastidious and understanding that details make the difference. We’re here to positively impact the lives of people around the world — our commitment to the details in every decision we make ultimately results in delivering five-star satisfaction for our consumers.
At SharkNinja, mindset is not an exercise that exists only on paper. It shows up every day in everything we do and it’s what keeps me committed to the organization and the consumers we serve. SharkNinja challenges me every day to do better, both personally and professionally. With those challenges come opportunities and no place offers its employees more opportunities than SharkNinja — I have the right to forge my own destiny. Each day brings new challenges and the work is not mundane. The products are fantastic, the people are rock stars and the environment is passionate. The energy and opportunity that SharkNinja provides are unparalleled and every day, I look forward to tomorrow.

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?
SharkNinja is focused on global expansion. We have been working to identify markets and consumers that could benefit from our products and set up local regional teams to support the launches. We exist to “positively impact people’s lives, every day in every home.” To have the highest impact globally, we need to have empathy for every consumer in every home around the world. To deliver on this promise, we use our deep understanding and sincere empathy for our global consumers to eradicate “business as usual” behavior, and we create a competitive advantage in the way we bring consumer insights and market opportunities to life in our products.
Moving forward, we must work to understand every consumer for whom we design products. Not only is SharkNinja seeking opportunities in global markets, but we are seeking opportunities in new categories. Every year, we look into a handful of category X industries. Some have a spark and we move forward. Some do not. The openness to new industries at SharkNinja is exciting. Much like we encourage our workforce to take control of their own personal and professional destinies, we have an appetite to create our own destiny organizationally.
Healthtech and hardware company WHOOP designed a platform that uses data analytics to quantify human performance through strain, recovery and sleep.
What was the deciding factor for you when you accepted your job at your current company?
Coming from Microsoft, I’ve always wanted to get a feel for what startups and smaller companies are like given how much structure I was used to. I decided to take a leap of faith and go toward my passion in health, and I couldn’t have been happier to join the software team at WHOOP. Every morning, I wake up thinking about our mission to unlock performance and how I can help improve health in our society. It feels amazing to read stories coming from our customers about how WHOOP has improved their lives.
The most exciting thing about WHOOP is how much of an impact we can have on people’s lives overall.”
Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?
The most exciting thing about WHOOP is how much of an impact we can have on people's lives overall. We read stories about how WHOOP saved someone’s life and even though it sounds far-fetched at first, we find out that someone leveraged our technology to help find something earlier that could have had dire health consequences in the future. There isn’t really a product out there that’s like ours, but we must keep moving forward to stay ahead of the pack and steer the wearable industry in the right direction especially with privacy.

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?
The rate at which The Predictive Index is enhancing and developing the product is very exciting. As a member of the revenue operations team, we get a front-row seat to what’s on the horizon for talent optimization. Partnering with the go-to-market teams in bringing the product to life is stimulating, challenging and an overall great opportunity to learn. The people at PI measure their success by the impact of the product and never stop asking for feedback and iterating on the product. Working with such talented team members with the same common goal is why I love coming to work every day (virtually).
Wistia is a video marketing software designed to improve users’ audience engagement. Through solutions like video hosting, customizable playback capabilities, analytics and CRM integrations, the company aims to help businesses grow.
What was the deciding factor for you when you accepted your job at your current company?
When I thought about what was most important to me in my next job, culture floated to the absolute top of my list. I knew I wanted to be in a place where I felt like I fit in, I could be myself and where I am valued.
Since I joined Wistia, I am experiencing the culture I was craving. Wistia has been super supportive of the staff in challenging times. My colleagues are not just empathetic and collaborative, but we make space for people to process what’s going on and make sure our minds and families are OK. I have also been really impressed by Wistia’s actions (not just talk) around diversity, equity and inclusion and have seen changing tides in the relatively short time I have been here. I continue to be amazed by the support, shared values and humanity I experience here every day since I joined Wistia.

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?
My role gives me an opportunity to collaborate with just about every team at Wistia. One of the things I am working on is building out the platform for our teams to build on. This work will allow our teams to move faster and ship exciting new features while delivering a smooth and seamless user experience. For my part, this is super exciting because of the creativity, the hands-on problem-solving with teams and the fact that I learn something new just about every day!
LogRocket helps customers understand the problems affecting their users. Customers are able to replay what users do on their site, allowing them to reproduce bugs and fix issues faster.
What was the deciding factor for you when you accepted your job at your current company?
The growth and the people! In regards to growth, LogRocket had reached out to me about an opportunity right after I had accepted another job offer back in the summer of 2019 — at the time, LogRocket had around 17 employees. Fast forward to the end of 2020, LogRocket circled back on a customer success opportunity and I learned that the team had grown close to 80 people. The ability for an organization to grow so much during such a challenging year really showed me the strength of the product, team and vision.
In regards to the people, the team here is an amazing combination of humble, intelligent and kind-hearted. I knew making the move in a remote world would be worth it to get to know the folks here and be able to learn from them.

Being a customer success manager, I’m so excited to be a direct voice for my customers with a growing organization and product. Knowing that I’ll be able to share feedback that can make a huge impact on the roadmap and internal processes is so rewarding. There are also a lot of opportunities to work cross-departmentally at LogRocket and that not only is exciting for career development, but it also is telling that the company is expanding with the mindset of one team working together rather than many silos.
