Yesware reels in $15M, replaces CEO

Yesware, a Boston-based maker of email software, raised $15 million in fresh funding led by Foundry Group. The new investment, which will be used for product development, brought the company’s total funding to $48 million. Yesware also announced that the company’s board of directors appointed a new CEO: Joel Stevenson, the former COO of the company. Matthew Bellows, Yesware’s co-founder, stepped down from his role as CEO, but will continue to serve as a chairman of the board of directors. [Globe Newswire]

DraftKings expands to 2 new cities

DraftKings, which offers a sports betting platform, just expanded its U.S. presence in a big way, opening offices in two new locations: San Francisco and Las Vegas. DraftKings is also growing its Boston presence, though. The company plans to expand its Boston workforce by 75 percent in the next year and move its local staff into a brand new 105,000-square-foot HQ. [Legal Sports Report]

meQuilibrium raises $7M Series C round

HR tech company meQuilibrium, which offers a talent engagement and performance platform, raised an impressive $7 million Series C this week. The round, which was led by HLM Venture Partners, will be used to expand the company’s sales and product development efforts, and bring on new talent. ClearCompany lands first round of growth funding to the tune of $60M 

Recruitment and talent management software firm ClearCompany raised $60 million in growth financing this week led by Primus Capital. The investment will be used to support the company's rapid growth and recent partnership with ADP. ClearCompany's software lets customers fully manage their talent lifecycle by providing data and insights linking company performance to key hires. The company plans on hiring roles for marketing, sales and product development with the fresh funds as well. [Training Industry]

2 Boston tech companies make the Inc. 500

Inc. Magazine announced its annual list of America’s fastest-growing privately held companies this week, with two Boston tech companies making it onto the prestigious Inc. 500. INFUSEmedia, a company that generates leads for B2B companies by promoting content on social and mobile, made the cut at No. 54, while adtech startup Social Fulcrum came in at No. 384.
