Alice’s Table accepts $250K on ‘Shark Tank’

Techstars graduate Alice’s Table accepted a $250,000 offer on “Shark Tank” this week, accepting backing from Mark Cuban and Sara Blakely. Cuban and Blakely took home a 10 percent equity stake in the startup, which offers an online platform that helps women launch flower arrangement businesses. True Fit raises $55M in funding to help shoppers buy the perfect size

Online shopping has never been more immersive than it is in 2018, but it can still be challenging to find the right size — until Boston-based True Fit launched. The startup offers a data-driven customization platform that helps retailers guide consumers to perfectly-fitted clothing and footwear through a blend of custom algorithms and analyzing what shoppers already have in their closets. The company raised $55 million in funding today led by Georgian Partners, which will be used to further develop True Fit’s AI data platform, as well as advance innovation of its personalized style, fit and analytics solutions. BitSight to double workforce in 2018

Security startup BitSight Technologies announced a record 2017 this week, with over 90 percent worldwide sales growth and 75 percent customer growth. Founded in 2011, BitSight offers a security ratings market used by organizations worldwide to make risk and business decisions. With over 1,000 customers under its belt, BitSight announced that it will be doubling its Boston workforce in 2018. [Press Release]

Wayfair Names Molly Sullivan head of creative

Wayfair has brought on former Salesforce executive Molly Sullivan as head of creative for brand and marketing. Voatz raises $2.2M to make voting more secure

Voting software startup Voatz raised a $2.2 million seed round led by Medici Ventures, a subsidiary of Overstock.com focused on blockchain investments last week. The round included participation from Urban Innovation Fund and early HubSpot investor Joe Caruso. If you’re unfamiliar, Voatz is a mobile-focused software platform that lets anyone to participate in an election with a smartphone or tablet. That means no more paper ballots or hardware.
