Are you a whiz at owning day-to-day office tasks? Are you into video games (or at least don’t mind them)? We are looking for an Office Manager who is well-rounded with experience in supporting a growing office. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who possesses strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills with a desire to hone their skill sets for the next level of career development. Your experience managing fast-paced offices combined with the powers of your attention to detail and sunny disposition will help drive your efforts to create an environment where our employees will thrive. Working under minimal supervision, the Office Manager will oversee the daily operation of our new office space. The office manager will work directly with both the Finance and People Operations teams as a key contributor in both departments, handling tasks related to the day-to-day office operations.

The ideal candidate will be a self-reliant team player who shows initiative, has strong communication skills (gives easy-to-understand explanations), is well-organized, and is always seeking to innovate.

What You’ll Do

  • Develops procedures and policies for administrative activities, such as mail distribution, reception, and other related internal operations.
  • Responsible for purchases and maintenance of office equipment and supplies.
  • Tracks and analyzes operational costs.
  • Coordinates delivery of office services with other departments.
  • Manage the daily in-house lunch catering process including menu/vendor selection and relationship management
  • Manage the daily snack/drink/coffee inventory
  • Manage all inbound and outbound mail deliveries
  • Own our employee security system and activate/deactivate all employee badges as necessary
  • Manage the ordering and storage of all office supplies
  • Own the fixed asset reporting and management system
  • Own the lease process and act as the primary point of contact with our third-party leasing partners
  • Own the relationship with building management and submit any necessary work orders
  • Cross-train as a backup for payroll (ADP)
  • Support the Finance and People Operations teams on an as-needed basis
  • Act as a backup to the Executive Assistant to the CEO

What We Seek

  • 3+ years prior experience managing an office for at least three years and know how to build an office from scratch;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lift 60 pounds unassisted
  • Strong multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • A passion for online games
  • Strong affinity for Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, and other fantasy/SF/horror IP
  • Must be available to work 9:00 – 6:00, Mon – Fri and occasional overtime and weekends
  • Background in Finance/Accounting is a plus
