Department Overview

The Clinical Programs team at Wellframe works closely with all other Wellframe departments to create clinical tools, programs, and processes that help patients gain access to the knowledge and clinical expertise they need to manage their health needs at any given moment. Our team is made up of clinicians and communications and public health experts who enjoy working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to solve tough health problems.


Position Overview

The medical writer is responsible for the efficient preparation of high-quality, strategically aligned, patient-facing medical writing deliverables that support the development of evidence-based clinical programs to be delivered to patients on mobile devices. These programs address a wide variety of patient needs from chronic disease management to weight loss to stress reduction. The medical writer will work with the Clinical Programs team to execute the development of our educational programs in a compelling fashion, while maintaining accuracy and consistency with Wellframe's clinical "voice" and health literacy standards. A key player in the clinical teams ongoing quality assurance efforts, the medical writer will also be responsible for the review and updating of existing clinical content content. This position is a contract role with an estimated start date of late January, and an estimated project length of 3-6 months. Opportunities exist for a longer-term contract arrangement.


Requirements

- Efficient preparation of medical writing deliverables for assigned clinical program(s) according to established timelines

-Working with Wellframe clinical programs leadership to establish and maintain best practices and SOPs for clinical programs development

- Using medical writing experience to improve the characteristics of both the Wellframe voice and overall program health literacy levels

- Reviewing and updating existing clinical content as a part of clinical quality assurance efforts

Ideal candidate

-A minimum of 2 years medical writing experience; experience writing patient education content is a must

-Available for a 20 to 40 hour per week committment

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Prior experience with developing patient education materials and/or health technology products

- A self-starter who can manage his or her own daily workload, operate well under pressure, and balance competing priorities
