COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Docent Health is a revolutionary company working to help health systems transition to consumer-centric business models. Our belief it that ALL patients should be treated like high-value customers.

Docent Health is an early-stage company with significant blue chip institutional support: ideated inside of Oxeon Partners venture studio, partnered with the Hospital for Special Surgery, and funded by Bessemer Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Maverick Ventures.

Best practices in other consumer-centric industries can be applied to healthcare to help patient’s feel known, valued and supported. Technology and human-based services are critical to building and maintaining positive relationships with patients.

When executed correctly, “great care” coupled with a “great experience” results in increased patient satisfaction scores, higher patient retention rates, increased net promoter scores, and help patients become more engaged in their own healthcare journeys.

Specifically, Docent Health is a technology and services platform built upon three foundational pillars: 1) a customer experience playbook designed for the health system setting, 2) a robust patient experience technology platform consisting of enterprise and consumer mobile solutions driven by intelligent analytics of patient and consumer data, and 3) a team of dedicated Docents (patient liaisons) available as a single point of contact to patients as they proceed through their journey. These assets are currently being co-developed alongside leading health systems and the nation’s top ranked hospital for adult orthopedics that has attained top patient satisfaction scores for over a decade, and two nationally recognized non-profit health systems.
