Head of Payer Relations
Role and Responsibilities
As Head of Payer Relations you will play a key part in commercializing Onduo. Your role will consist of three primary functions. The first will be to pursue commercial opportunities with payers and employers. The second will be to manage client relations once contracts are established. The third will be to assist in leading the strategy of commercial development.
Key Responsibilities:
Payer Commercial Developmenta. Develop target list for payer outreach
b. Arrange meetings with key stakeholders
c. Provide effective and customized representation of our solution to prospective clients
d. Negotiate and close deals with payers while developing at-risk contracts
Client Relationship Management
a. Design and develop commercial pilots with partners
b. Oversee the execution of payer pilots with customization and modification as needed
c. Create custom report cards and reporting tools for clients
d. Develop client relationship mapping with multiple points of contact for Onduo within an organization
e. Obtain feedback and product improvement based on client feedback
Strategic Commercialization
a. Assist in the development of our strategic commercial approach to employers, payers, and eventually vehicles such as Medicare and Medicaid
b. Develop new opportunities with existing partners including international opportunities
c. Provide strategic direction on product development and market access issues
d. Work with reimbursement to design risk based contracts
Required Qualifications and Experience:
● Greater than 5 years of direct health care involvement
● Hospital and health system administration experience
● Demonstrated success in sales and established industry relationships
● Understanding and connections within the healthcare system and risk-based reimbursement
● Demonstrated ability to develop and execute highly sophisticated and impactful presentations
● Ability to activate and inspire through articulate vision and direction, influence, and persuasion
● High energy level and superior communication skills.
● An organized, disciplined, hands-on leader who will dig into the details yet show a higher level of strategic thinking
● Creative, innovative, and can-do attitude
● Experience in merger and acquisition activities a plus
● Management consulting experience a plus
● Direct clinical care experience a plus
