Our Hadoop Architect will be responsible for leading the technical architecture of a next generation Business Intelligence and Analysis system to enable hyper-growth at DataRobot. You will lead the vision, deployment, and administration of Hadoop enabled infrastructure as a core service to all functions of the business. This lead role will develop long-term BI&A technology strategies and execute on short-term development and delivery plans to meet the needs of the aggressively growing DataRobot business. The successful candidate will also mentor other individuals on the team including developers and business analysts. This candidate must be extremely results driven, technologically savvy, and skilled at building technical and business relationships with internal customers. 

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and participate in administering BI&A infrastructure from the ground up

• Drive selection and deployment of key enabling technologies

• Administer multi distribution (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Apache) Hadoop clusters

• Make information and predictive analytics available on a large scale to next generation applications

• Build and execute BI&A technical roadmap as DataRobot grows and innovates

Minimum requirements:

• 7+ years experience architecting, building and administering large-scale distributed applications

• Hadoop and Linux administration experience

• Cloudera Certified Administrator

• Strong understanding of Hadoop eco-system such as HDFS, MapReduce, HBase, Pig, Hadoop streaming, Sqoop, Spark/Shark and Hive

• Strong understanding of BI, ETL, and data warehousing. Hands on experience with data ETL processes

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Bonus skills:

• Multi distribution experience (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Apache)

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
