Director of Human Resources Operations

The successful candidate will provide leadership to a team of 3-5 direct reports on a variety of human resources programs, policies, and practices that enhance the employee experience in a high-growth organization. This person offers thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution; provides insightful data to guide decision-making and provides proactive solutions. They will manage a variety of strategic and long-range HR projects in support of our employee engagement, retention, high performance and HR service delivery goals.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and own the HR Operations road map with continued focus on streamlining and automating business processes to create a value added HR organization that can effectively support our growing business
- Manage the employee life cycle-new hire onboarding through the exit process
- Manage the implementation of HR services and transaction processing
- Handle employee relations and recommend solutions on issues and improvements
- Develop, recommend and implement HR policies, guidelines and procedures
- Evaluate current processes to identify areas for improvement through process improvement and technical solutions
- Understand the business strategy and is able to interpret and drive programs and practices with a highly strategic focus
- Provide exceptional project management and customer service mentality
- Possess a deep understanding of state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to employee related issues
- Help establish, build and maintain a culture to attract and retain top talent and leadership
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
- Strong HR functional expertise in HR processes including employee relations and performance management
- Extensive knowledge of HR Products and Services and awareness of HR strategy around talent identification, attraction, engagement and retention
- HR Operational Management experience including compliance, policies and procedures
- Project management skills and strong operational focus
- Extensive employee relations experience with a strong ability to relate well to others, listen effectively, and build rapport
- Excellent customer and business relation skills to partner with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws
- An operations mindset coupled with innovative thinking
