Digital Copywriter
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Digital Copywriter to join our Creative Team based in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate has a portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking and the ability to make the complex simple. You will plan and write UX content that is on brand, on strategy, and drives conversion. A successful candidate is organized, collaborative and able to handle several different projects at the same time.
What you'll do:
- Understand and support brand, tone, and voice
- Communicate complex information in a human and friendly way
- Understand web development-related issues such as SEO, accessibility, metrics, usability and navigation
- Understand design thinking and user experience design
- Put our customers’ needs first; clear copy is always better than florid copy
- Work collaboratively with UX and UI designers to deliver quality solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Make content decisions based on customer insights and data
What you'll need:
- A portfolio demonstrating your facility with marketing copy
- At least 1 year of experience writing in a corporate or agency setting
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Ability prioritize multiple projects and adjust to tight deadlines with minimum supervision
- The demonstrated ability to write for the Web and mobile devices
- A sense of humor
- A conceptual approach to writing
- Ability to follow and advocate existing voice/style guide
Bonus:
- Experience writing for consumer brands, and, if possible, writing for an eCommerce company
- Strong proofreading skills
