Business Planning Analyst
As the Business Planning Analyst, you will work closely with functional teams throughout the organization to understand key drivers of performance, forecast future demand, and provide visibility into delivery against those forecasts. You will also support unit economics of our customers, and help identify how we can improve overall company profitability over time.
You will support our forecasting efforts within Acquisition Marketing, Product, Customer Engagement and other Teams. You will understand all key assumptions and risks that are included in these forecasts, and ensure they are well understood by senior management. These forecasts will include all revenue as well as all cost drivers, and will ultimately be incorporated into company Operating plan.
Throughout the quarter, you will work closely with teams to track performance to that forecast, and flag any risks or upsides. You will identify the underlying cause behind any variations to forecast, and ensure that act immediately to create as much value as possible.
Lastly, you will maintain a dynamic model of our user economics, and understand how various strategic initiatives will impact total company profitability
Responsibilities
- Support the forecasting process for functional on both revenue and costs
- Provide general analytic support of departments and key business initiatives
- Develop and maintain standard monthly reporting to be consumed across all levels of the organization
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, understanding key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating/presenting key messages to senior management Identify all key assumptions in forecast, and flag potential risks and upsides
- Assist in development and improvement of reporting and other finance related processes
- Build deep business partner relationships across the organization
- Support the accounting team in the month end close process, as needed
- Identify any variances to forecast, and ensure action is taken based on new information
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or quantitative field
- At least 2+ years of experience in a financial modeling, forecasting, of business planning role
- Can work autonomously through complex problems, data requests, and due diligence
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable in fast paced, results driven environment
