Geode is looking for an Agile Lead to guide our squad of cross functional members within technology. You will work closely with squad members, squad leaders, business stakeholders, and agile leads of other squads for cross coordination. You will be responsible for implementing Agile principles, evaluating team performance, and ensuring the continuous improvement of agile practices for your squad.

This is a hybrid work environment opportunity with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:

• Be the primary facilitator and coach for an agile team
• Facilitate team events and processes, and support teams to deliver value
• Help make the way the squad gets the work done to be a good fit for them
• Be a player/coach willing to jump into any situation and help optimize it
• Educate the team in Scrum, Built-in-Quality, Kanban and scaled agile methodologies
• Remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement
• Actively participate in technical and business discussions with various stakeholders
• Responsible for the administration and optimization of collaboration tools used by the squad

Skills You Bring: 

• Experience in active or passive investment management and deep business understanding
• Played a past technical role, such as software or data engineering, inside of a financial company
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and the Spotify model

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in engineering directly exposed to an investment facing team
• 5+ years of experience in agile leadership and management
• CFA is not required, but a big plus
• Scrum master and scaled agile certifications are a plus
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Miro preferred
