What's the role

We’re looking for a proactive, people-first Workplace Coordinator to lead the day-to-day running of our New York City office. You’ll be the friendly, dependable presence that keeps the space running smoothly — making sure our people have the tools, environment, and support they need to do the best work of their careers.

In this hands-on role, you’ll own everything from office management and basic IT troubleshooting to onboarding new joiners and supporting culture moments. You’ll embody our Culture Code in everything you do — raising the bar for workplace experience.

What you'd do:

Manage our New York City office and experience

  • Be the go-to person for all office-related needs
  • Support basic IT needs
  • Make sure the space is clean, stocked, safe, and ready for collaboration each day
  • Manage relationships with vendors (cleaners, caterers, building management, etc.)
  • Support day-to-day perks like breakfast/lunch setups and handling deliveries
  • Take ownership of local events and help bring our office culture to life
  • Welcome new starters and visitors to the space

Assist the People Team with Operational & Coordinator tasks, as required and may include:

  • Work closely with the People Partnering team to oversee the full spectrum of employee onboarding, employee offboarding and contractual changes. This includes tasks such as checking contacts, verifying employees right to work, preparing contractual change letters, relaying information to payroll and updating our HRIS
  • Help answer employee policy questions
  • Assist with reporting and people metrics tracking

Who you are:

  • Organized, hands-on and always looking to raise the bar
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A great communicator who loves helping others succeed
  • Friendly, reliable and unflappable in a fast-paced environment
  • Naturally collaborative and service-minded
  • Confident handling office tech and problem-solving on the fly
  • Experience in office coordination, hospitality, or high-end service is a plus

How you'd succeed:

  • You’re always looking for ways to improve the workplace experience and make things more efficient, thoughtful, or delightful.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
