Job DescriptionJoin our dynamic team virtually, as a Workforce & Community Development Intern for Summer 2025 and beyond! This unpaid internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in workforce development and community engagement initiatives.
- Assist in researching and analyzing local workforce trends and community needs
- Support the development and implementation of workforce training programs
- Collaborate with team members on community outreach and engagement projects
- Help organize and coordinate community events and workshops
- Contribute to the creation of marketing materials for workforce development initiatives
- Assist in data collection and report preparation for various projects
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Support social media efforts to promote workforce and community development programs
- Conduct literature reviews on best practices in workforce development and community engagement
- Assist in grant writing and funding research for community development projects
- Help develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and organizations
- Support the creation and maintenance of databases for tracking program participants and outcomes
- Assist in developing evaluation tools to measure the impact of workforce development programs
- Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for program participants
- Help coordinate virtual networking events for job seekers and employers
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent research and analytical abilities
- Basic project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with social media management is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Enthusiasm for workforce development and community engagement
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- No prior experience with Universal Based Employment is required. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure your success.
