Compensation: 
$140,000 - $170,000 plus bonus

THE OPPORTUNITY

Meridian Partners is seeking a Senior Workday Recruiting Consultant to join our growing public sector Workday practice. This role is ideal for an experienced Workday professional with deep expertise in Workday Recruiting and Talent Acquisition, particularly within government and education environments.

As a senior consultant, you will lead the delivery of Workday Recruiting solutions designed for public sector hiring, balancing efficiency, compliance, and transparency while supporting each client’s workforce planning and public service mission.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex recruiting processes and ensuring their Workday Recruiting configuration aligns with regulatory, union, and civil service requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead end-to-end Workday Recruiting implementations for state, local, education, and other public sector organizations

  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition stakeholders to gather and translate public-sector-specific recruiting requirements, including compliance and approval workflows

  • Configure and optimize Workday Recruiting components, including:

    • Job Requisitions

    • Recruiting Hub

    • Candidate Management

    • Interview Scheduling

    • Offer Management

    • Onboarding

  • Design and deliver functional prototypes that reflect public sector recruiting needs and governance models

  • Lead testing, validation, and deployment activities across recruiting workflows

  • Advise on data conversion and integration strategies with legacy applicant tracking systems and related tools

  • Support the development of dashboards, analytics, and reporting to meet government compliance, audit, and transparency requirements

  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and best practices

  • Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder communications remain aligned throughout the engagement

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Active and current Workday Recruiting certification (required)
  •  Hands-on experience supporting public sector clients (city, state, local, or county required)
  • 3+ years of Workday consulting experience, with a primary focus on Workday Recruiting 
  • Proven experience delivering full-lifecycle Workday Recruiting implementations
  • Familiarity with public sector recruiting structures, including job classification, requisition approvals, union or civil service requirements, and applicant transparency policies.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships in the public sector
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
